With a background in CPG, digital and ecommerce jumped into the insurance space in 2006 working across the industry in leading marketing and direct to customer distribution initiates. With the growth of the cannabis industry, he has focused attention on navigating this emerging segment.

The train has left the station…legalization of marijuana continues to rapidly expand at a state and local level. Currently 33 states have laws allowing the use of medical marijuana and of those, 10 have legalized recreational marijuana use as well. Retail sales of medical and recreational cannabis in the United States are on pace to eclipse $12 billion by the end of 2019 and could rise to as high as $30 billion by 2023. Major mainstream players have begun to enter the industry and others are waiting on the sidelines waiting for legislation at a federal level. With this rate of expansion and projected growth, cannabis is no longer an emerging market for insurance carriers.
