Looking for a LeadsCon Alternative? How to Evaluate LGW

June 5, 2024    Comment off

Looking for a LeadsCon alternative? Start with what you want your next conference to accomplish. If the last event produced plenty of conversations but few useful next steps, changing venues alone will not solve the problem. Choose an event around a specific buying, selling or operational goal, then prepare to act on it.

Lead Generation World is an option for professionals working across lead generation, from campaign creation through conversion. LGW 2027 takes place February 17–19 at Gaylord Pacific in the San Diego area.

Identify the gap in your conference plan

Before selecting a different event, review what happened after the last one. Did you meet the wrong company types? Was your offer unclear? Did promising conversations stall because nobody owned the follow-up? The answers tell you what needs to change.

  • Too few relevant prospects: Research the audience and define the companies you want to meet before committing.
  • Useful meetings without progress: Decide in advance what information you need and what next step you can offer.
  • Content that did not translate into action: Choose sessions around a current problem and assign someone to evaluate the ideas afterward.
  • Unclear return: Agree on costs, success criteria and a review date before the trip.

When LGW belongs on your shortlist

LGW brings together lead buyers, sellers, advertisers, agencies, platforms and service providers. That is relevant when your question crosses more than one part of the process: finding a source, understanding delivery, selecting systems and improving what happens after a lead arrives.

End buyers can consider the Lead Buyer Summit. LGW’s $395 Lead Buyer Pass includes the Summit and conference, subject to application and approval. Review the requirements and apply if your company buys leads for its own use. This is a qualified offer, not a general admission rate for every business model.

For sellers and service providers, start with the customer you want to reach. Review past-attendee information, then look at exhibit and sponsorship options. Historical company examples help assess fit; they are not promises of future attendance or introductions.

Give your next event one primary assignment

A concrete assignment makes an event easier to evaluate. An insurance buyer might need to identify sources that can meet a particular geographic requirement. A home-services company might need to compare delivery models. A platform might need feedback from operators before prioritizing an integration.

Prepare a one-page brief with the problem, your requirements, the information you need from a prospective partner and the decision you can make afterward. Bring examples you can discuss without exposing customer information. This gives a conversation direction and helps both sides recognize a possible fit.

Then protect time for follow-up. Record the relevant requirement, the person responsible and the agreed next action. A vendor test, technical review or product demonstration should have an owner. A list of contacts without that context is much harder to use once everyone returns to work.

Does choosing an alternative mean skipping LeadsCon?

No. You can replace an event, add one or give two events different roles. The right answer depends on your capacity and whether the additional trip supports a distinct objective. Repeated conversations can be valuable when they move an existing evaluation forward; duplication without progress is a reason to reassess.

Plan your LGW next step

Start with LGW’s current event information. Buyers can check eligibility for the qualified pass. Exhibitors can share their target audience and the product or service they want to demonstrate when asking about available options. A clear objective makes it easier to choose the right way to participate.
